Deposits & Event Periods

To confirm a reservation, you will need to make a deposit equivalent of one night’s room rate. If you are paying your deposit by credit card, the deposit amount will be charged to your credit account. The balance is due upon arrival, except for special events, when the balance is due 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Special Event Rates, as published on the website in each room description, apply specifically to Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest dates, and to exceptionally rare events like a Super Bowl, National Championship NCAA Game, or to a Political Convention. General “special events” include, but are not limited to, the following: major conventions, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, New Year’s Eve, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, St. Patrick’s Parades, Voodoo Festival, Essence Fest, French Quarter Fest, Super Bowl, Sugar Bowl, National Championship Games, NCAA Sporting Playoffs or Final Four, local University events (Homecoming, Graduation, Move-in dates, etc.), and for group or “block” bookings of three or more guestrooms.

Minimum Stay Requirements

Three-night minimum stay requirements are in effect for bookings that include a Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the High Season and also for Lower Season bookings that include a Friday or Saturday. Two-night minimums apply to Monday through Thursday bookings in High Season and Sunday through Thursday bookings in Low Season. There may be four-night minimum stay requirements (five or six nights on very rare occasions) for Event Period bookings, so please feel free to email or call us directly for more information. High Season runs from October 1 through May 31, while Low Season is June 1 through September 30.

Check-in

As we do not have a 24-hour front desk staff, all check-ins are scheduled “by appointment” only. If flying, guests are required to provide us with their airline, flight number, scheduled landing time, and the method by which they intend to get to us from the airport (taxi, Uber/Lyft, or rental vehicle). This way we are able to make certain that we are available to greet parties when they arrive at the inn. If guests are driving to New Orleans, we simply need a one-hour target arrival time-window in advance of their actual arrival dates (for instance, 3:00 to 4:00 PM), then when they get on the road, if they find that they are running earlier or later than expected, they will simply text, call or WhatsApp us at 504-352-2821 prior to the start of their original check-in hour, and we will readjust as proves necessary. We are completely flexible, and we will make ourselves available whenever it proves most convenient to our guests; the only exceptions being that we do not schedule check-ins until after our daily breakfast service ends at 10:00 AM, and we do not conduct check-ins after Midnight (exceptions to the latter are made for guests that experience unforeseen issues that affect their arrivals, like flight delays, highway accidents, or inclement weather). As outgoing guests are not required to check out until 11:00 a.m., guestrooms are guaranteed to be ready no later than 3:00 PM. If guests are checking in before their room has been turned, they are welcome to stow luggage at the inn and we will move it to their rooms while they are out.

Check-out

Check-out is 11:00 a.m. Special arrangements can be made to store luggage, or for a late check out if possible.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to arrival for non-event period bookings, and 60 days for general Special Event periods or guests will risk forfeiture of deposits as well as remaining room balances. If cancellations are made after the 30-day or 60-day mark and we are able to rebook the room(s), the only penalty that would apply per room is a $25 credit card processing fee. All other monies would be refunded. There are no refunds for “no-shows” or changes in arrival/departure, unless we can rebook the room(s).
A more rigid, 6-month advance-notice cancellation policy applies specifically to any “block” bookings of three or more rooms, as well as to individual reservations for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest, French Quarter Fest, Tulane Graduation, New Year’s Eve, National Political Conventions, Super Bowls, NCAA National Championships, Play-Off Games, or NCAA Tournament periods.

Payments

We accept payments by credit card, check, cash or gift/credit certificate. If your payment is returned for insufficient funds, you will be required to pay all bank fees and any collection and/or legal fees required to collect the full amount.
