Places To Go
Aquarium and Zoo
The zoo is one of the best in the country and located in Uptown near Maison Perrier. It is very much worth a visit. A fun thing to do is to take the riverboat from the zoo to the aquarium in the French Quarter - it's called the Zoo Cruise.
Audubon Park
This is a beautiful park bounded by the Zoo on one side and Tulane University on the other. It has a wonderful walking path around it with magnificent homes. We’d be happy to prepare a picnic lunch for you to take along.
Magazine Street Shopping District
Start three blocks from Maison Perrier and explore two miles of antiques, boutiques, restaurants and eclectic stores. Visit Cafe Rani for lunch, Bella Donna for a massage and Lillette for dinner. You’ll need reservations for Lillette, which we can make for you.
The National D-Day Museum
Exhibits encompass the June 6, 1944, invasion of Normandy, the Home Front during WWII and the D-Day Invasions in the Pacific.
Arts/Warehouse District
This area around Julia and Camp has lots of galleries, studios and interesting shops. One of the new "hip" areas of town. Eat at Herbsaint if you are in the area.
